Compassionate, developmentally-informed psychiatric care for children and teens (ages 6–17), in close partnership with families, from ADHD and mood or anxiety disorders to early psychosis and complex behavioral concerns.

OCD

Specialized treatment for intrusive thoughts and repetitive behaviors that disrupt daily life.

Bipolar disorder

Social anxiety

Building confidence and coping skills for fear and avoidance in social or school settings.

Performance & testing anxiety

Thoughtful assessment and a coordinated plan for challenging behaviors, in partnership with families.

Autism spectrum disorder (previously diagnosed)

Ongoing psychiatric support and medication management for youth with an existing ASD diagnosis. A prior diagnosis is required.

Oppositional defiant disorder (ODD)

Structured, family-centered strategies for persistent defiance, anger, and conflict.

Disruptive mood dysregulation disorder (DMDD)

Careful diagnosis and treatment for chronic irritability and frequent, intense outbursts.

First-episode psychosis

Early, attentive intervention when a young person first experiences psychosis.

Schizophrenia

Comprehensive, coordinated care including medication management and long-term support.

Schizoaffective disorder, bipolar type

Diagnosis and integrated treatment for combined mood and psychotic symptoms.

Schizoaffective disorder, depressive type

Care that addresses both depressive symptoms and psychosis together.

Self-harm

A safe, nonjudgmental space and a clear safety plan, with families closely involved.

Post-hospitalization care

Attentive follow-up and continuity of care after a psychiatric hospitalization.

Group home, foster care & adoption support

Sensitive, coordinated psychiatric care for youth in foster, adoptive, or group-home settings.

Adjustment disorder

Support through difficult transitions, stressors, and life changes.

Bullying-related distress

Help processing the emotional impact of bullying and rebuilding confidence.

Common questions

Yes. Appointments run into the early evening Tuesday through Thursday (1:00 PM to 6:00 PM), with Saturday morning hours (9:00 AM to 1:00 PM) as well, so after-school and weekend visits are easy to schedule.

Ages 6 through 17. Adults are seen through age 65.

Yes, by secure video across North Carolina, with in-person visits in Garner on request.
