Frequently asked questions
Answers to the questions I hear most often, from insurance and telehealth to how to become a new patient.
Request an appointment through the secure online scheduling page and I will review it personally and contact you within 1–2 business days to discuss availability, fit, and next steps.
Yes. Care is offered primarily through secure telehealth, with in-person visits in Garner on request. Many visit types, including evaluations and medication management, are available via secure video. We will determine the right option together.
I am in-network with Aetna, BCBS NC, Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna, Horizon BCBS, and Independence BCBS of Pennsylvania, and also offer self-pay options. Coverage varies by plan, so we will confirm your specific benefits before your first visit.
I care for children, adolescents, and adults ages 6–65, with care tailored to each stage of life.
To support safe, evidence-based care, I don’t provide long-term benzodiazepine management. New patients prescribed a benzodiazepine for longer than one year can’t be accepted at this time. If you’ve taken one for less than one year, care is available with a gradual, individualized taper plan.
Yes. Appointment requests go directly into SimplePractice, the practice’s HIPAA-compliant electronic health record, through its secure scheduling page. Intake paperwork is completed there as well, through the protected patient portal.
If this is an emergency, call 911. For mental health crisis support, call or text 988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) any time, day or night. This website and online booking are not monitored for emergencies.
